Sheffield is Tasmania's outdoor art gallery, situated 30kms from Devonport and 90kms from Launceston, and lies in the foothills of the majestic Mount Roland with a number of walking tracks to choose from. 

History combines with art in our picturesque town to provide a unique opportunity to see artists at work, following the mosaic pathway leads you to the Working Art Space.  Learn more about the history of our town on our self guided mural audio tour an opportunity to hear from a group of passionate locals as you get to experience some of the more prominent murals up close.  The Mural Park features the competition entries to our annual event Mural Fest which takes place over Easter each year.  The World of Marbles specialises in contemporary art designs in glass all made onsite.  Seashells at Sheffield is Tasmania's only seashell museum and learning centre and contans a large collection from aroud the world.

The 'Town of Murals' maintains over 150 murals throughout the town that depict the stories of our history and our residents.

The Claude Road Hall Market occurs on the third Saturday of March, June, September and December.
