Railton Hotel

Railton Hotel combines the traditional fare and ambience of a country Tasmanian pub with modern services and expectations, resulting in great food, good times and comfortable accommodation.



Railton Hotel now has a bar, gaming lounge, bottle shop and restaurant, as well as eight standard and family rooms with shared bathroom facilities that can accommodate up to 19 guests. The rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, electric blankets, heating and TV. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be arranged for guests of the hotel. We also provide lodging, food and laundry services to contract workers for recruitment agencies and local industry. Free camping with guest shower and bathroom facilities is available at the rear of the hotel. There is ample car parking for guests. Visitors can enjoy a hearty counter meal, as well as a round at the pool table. there is a designated area for group bookings. The first hotel was built in 1858 and the adjacent railway line was completed in 1885. Early days saw farmers and timber workers as the main patrons. After the wooden hotel burnt down, the present heritage pub was built on the same site in 1910.
