Spreyton Cider

Produces premium Tasmanian ciders made from our own apples. All our ciders are made from 100% Tasmanian apples and pears, with most grown in our own orchards. We use traditional cider making techniques with a modern twist to create our unique range of ciders.

Our Cidery located on our working orchards in Spreyton offers tastings for $10, allowing visitors to try all five ciders and receive a glass or stubby of their favourite. Our families have been growing apples in Spreyton since 1908. Building on our expertise in producing the best fresh apple juice, our range of ciders are classic examples of the cider maker's art. Spreyton Cider Co’s traditional ciders are made using the time honoured cider making techniques of England and France, and as you might expect at 7.5 – 8% ABV they pack a punch in more ways than one! These flavour packed ciders are fermented in the bottle to produce lightly carbonated ciders reminiscent in appearance to fine champagne. By using a range of different apple varieties carefully selected and crushed at the optimum time Spreyton Cider co is able to produce different flavour profiles and levels of dryness. The traditional cider making techniques used to make this range deliver complex flavour profiles ideally suited to matching with a quality cheese platter or a meal, or simply enjoy a sophisticated cider taste experience at your favourite wine bar. Our Vintage cider won bronze at the 2013 Australian Cider Awards.
