In 2025 “The Wild Penguin” will move to a new date at the start of November – a long weekend for Victorian’s for the Melbourne Cup and also the Recreation Day long weekend in Tasmania. All three stages will be held on the Wild Mersey trails, as Penguin awaits a new trail build at Dial Range.
The event will start on Friday afternoon with a Prelude at the Warrawee Reserve end of the Wild Mersey trail network, just outside of Latrobe. This will be a convenient location for all travellers as it is centrally located whether you fly into Launceston, Devonport or are driving up from Hobart.
The two main stages over the weekend will start and finish out of Railton and Sheffield, and feature the best of the Wild Mersey trail network. Stage 1 on Saturday will again be a testing stage that will be highlighted by the iconic 10km Raptor Ridge epic trail! Then Stage 2 on Sunday will feature the absolute best of the Wild Mersey trail network – a heap of sweet flowing goodness!
